Julz grew up playing everything: football, volleyball, basketball, tennis, javelin. That love of sport never left him.

His philosophy is simple: the fitter you are, the more you get out of life. It's what drives how he runs CrossFit Hibiscus Coast, and why he'll be your first point of contact from the moment you reach out.

Step 1

Before You Arrive

We set you up to succeed before you walk in the door.

Confirmation sent via your preferred channel (email or text)
Quick pre-screen: have you done CrossFit before? What's your current fitness level? Any injuries?
Your session is adjusted based on your answers so you're set up to succeed before you walk in

Step 2

During Each Session

A proper coached workout, scaled to your level from start to finish.

Your coach gives you a one-on-one briefing before class starts
You're introduced to the group and the room does the welcoming
Session structure explained up front: warm-up, strength or skill work, then the workout. No surprises.
Your coach monitors you closely throughout, adjusting load and movements in real time
Scaling is standard, not an exception. This is how CrossFit works for everyone.

After Each Session

Quick debrief with a genuine chat and a personal follow-up.

Fist-bump to celebrate. You earned it.
Hang out with the other athletes and get to know the CrossFit Family
Your coach checks in to make sure everything felt good and offers follow-up advice

Worried It's Not for You?

We hear these concerns all the time. Here's why they shouldn't stop you.

"I'm Not Fit Enough"

We have members who'd never been in a gym before they walked in here. Your coach adjusts the weight and movements so the workout fits you, not the other way around.

"It'll Be Intimidating"

This isn't one of those gyms. Our members go out of their way to welcome new people. You'll probably know half the room by name before you leave.

"I'm Too Old"

We have members in their late sixties training alongside people in their teens. CrossFit is for everyone, no matter your age. Your coach makes sure the workout fits you.

"What is CrossFit?"

Functional movements you use in everyday life: lifting, pushing, pulling, squatting. Your coach explains everything. No prior knowledge needed.

CFHC have helped me make huge improvements in my fitness as I hit my late 30s with kids. As a former runner/cyclist who'd never lifted weights it's been an awesome way to learn and build up more all round fitness. Classes are in groups with a range of skill levels and ages.
